24th Camaro Nationals – July 13th-15th, 2023
The 2022 Camaro Nationals were a huge success. A combination of a date change, venue change, and Co-hosting by 3 Camaro Clubs brought almost double the normal number of Camaros to the Classic Auto Mall, in Morgantown, PA.
Members may remember a trip to the Classic Auto Mall on our Fall Foliage Run about 5 years ago. Like most road trips, there is always at least one crazy thing that happens that we always remember. For the run that year, we pulled into the mall, and I did not realize that the main entrance was on the opposite side of the building. My GPS agreed that I was not in the right place…..so I lead everyone back out onto Rt 10, and proceeded to get about 15 Camaros lost in the country, and stuck on a dead end street.
In the end, we got turned around, and found our way to the correct entrance (I conceded the lead to someone with a better GPS). We had a great time at the CAM, and I tucked it away as a neat place to have a car show some time.
Who knew that years later, we would be co-hosting the Camaro Nationals at the same mall?
Although there are three clubs sharing the work of hosting, there are lots of positions to be filled during the event. Scheduling will be mostly for a 2 hour shift, parking cars, greeting cars, hanging signs and banners, handling the auction, etc. Please plan on setting some time aside to help.
